Why Should I go Wireless?

Using cords to plug into power sources is still necessary, although it’s just to charge the battery, usually. As such, modern devices can be used away from the power source without the restriction of being plugged in by a length of cord.

Laptops and cell phones are good examples of this. Not all that long ago, people had to be in one spot to use their computers and telephones. If the cord didn’t reach, they were stuck in that spot. People couldn’t even imagine taking their computer somewhere.

Internet and Multi-tasking is the way of Today

These days people do all kinds of things while on the phone because they can move freely without cords – they even talk to people while driving around or in the bathroom. Katherine, in Portland, Oregon listens to her iPod early mornings while she puts on her make-up. Phyllis, in Moline, IL puts her cell phone on speaker while she learns to make fry-bread with step-by-step instructions from her mother in Alaska.

Files, photos, recipes, and the Internet can be taken anywhere with wireless devices – it’s like having the world’s file cabinet with you always. Hundreds of thousands of music files and songs can be carried around in a small device that doesn’t take up anymore space than a credit card. Just think how many albums or tapes would have to be purchased to store all of them the old way.

Wireless keyboards and mice are very handy in two ways. They mean the user can sit, stand, lay or do cartwheels while using the devices. And on the flip-side, the devices can be used without the user having to get up, so they’re excellent for people who are bedridden or wheel chair bound.

If trying to decide whether or not to go cordless, take this advice: Go for it! If you do, it won’t be long until you’re glad you did. On the list of Pros and Cons, there are no Cons.
